When joining the evidence-based Market Access team of Mapi Values, the evaluation of the value of treatments in their current or future market will be at the heart of your work. You will provide critical evidence to develop the global and local Market Access strategy of our clients and support their local submissions to Health Technology Assessment or reimbursement agencies to ensure their products are reimbursed, accepted in formularies, and properly prescribed.

THE POSITION: We wish to appoint a Research Manager to join our Market Access team based in our Global Headquarters in the cosmopolitan and friendly city of Boston. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious researcher with a proven track record in comparative effectiveness research and/or health economics. We will provide you with all the necessary training and support for your professional development in this challenging and rapid-moving field. In return we expect you to quickly build on your existing knowledge and skills, leading projects that meet our clients’ needs, and supporting the growth and development of more junior team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Your role will be exciting and varied, leading international projects supporting access to the market of our clients’ products. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
- Leading delivery of projects including evidence synthesis, health economic evaluations and preparation of HTA/reimbursement submissions
- Leading project teams and acting as primary client contact
- Briefing, supporting and coaching project team members
- Maintaining client relations and writing project proposals with support from Directors
REQUIREMENTS: You are a skilled researcher with previous experience in an academic environment, an international consultancy, or the pharmaceutical industry. You will be able to demonstrate skills in epidemiology, health economics research, statistics, or another quantitative discipline. You will have experience and interest in evidence synthesis, economic modeling, and in obtaining market access for drugs or medical devices. You will need to demonstrate leadership abilities and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will have a relevant postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD/MD).
