When joining the evidence-based Market Access team of Mapi Values, the evaluation of the value of treatments in their current or future market will be at the heart of your work. You will provide critical evidence to develop the global and local Market Access strategy of our clients and support their local submissions to Health Technology Assessment or reimbursement agencies to ensure their products are reimbursed, accepted in formularies, and properly prescribed.

THE POSITION: We wish to appoint a Research Associate to join our Market Access team based in the pretty village of Bollington on the edge of the Peak District and a short distance from the exciting city of Manchester. This is a great opportunity if you have a genuine interest in enhancing your knowledge and skills in applied health economics and outcomes research. We will provide you with the necessary training and support for your professional development in this challenging and rapidly-moving field. In return we expect you to quickly build on your existing knowledge and skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Your role will be exciting and varied, working on international projects to supporting access to the market of our clients’ products. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
- Contributing to projects which aidsupport optimisation of market access for new products and devices for a variety of clients
- Research to support the development of evidence-based dossiers
- Performing literature reviews
- Preparing and writing documents for health technology assessment submissions
REQUIREMENTS: You are a highly motivated and proactive researcher with a background in life sciences, who enjoys teamwork and takes pride in the quality of your work. You will have a good first degree in life sciences and an advantage would be a postgraduate qualification in a relevant area such as health service or public health research. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to understand and critically appraise clinical and health economic data. You will have the ability to deliver high quality work to stringent deadlines, the aptitude to work well within a team whilst showing initiative and being able to work independently when required.
