When joining the PRO team of Mapi Values, the patient will be at the heart of your work. You will develop PRO endpoints, screeners, and other PRO tools to evaluate the benefit of treatments in clinical research as well as in clinical practice. You will provide critical data to support our clients in getting their products approved, differentiated and properly prescribed and reimbursed.

THE POSITION: We wish to appoint a Director to join our PRO team in our Global Headquarters in the cosmopolitan and friendly city of Boston. This is an exciting opportunity if you are a PRO specialist who enjoys the research and consultancy environment. Travel, including international travel, is a component of this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Your role will be exciting and varied, leading an exceptionally bright and motivated team working in PRO research. You will be involved in a range of responsibilities, including:
- Providing high-level consultancy to our clients on obtaining labeling or promotional claims for PROs
- Directing and mentoring the US team and providing scientific and strategic input to projects
- Collaborating with our European and Asian offices in conducting international studies
- Working with our business development team to prepare proposals and presentations to clients
- Enhancing our scientific reputation and visibility in the field of PRO research
- Providing input to the development strategy of Mapi Values and its implementation
REQUIREMENTS: You will have at least 8 years’ experience in leading projects and teams in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, a healthcare consultancy, or a research institution, and you will have a degree (postgraduate degree preferred) in psychology, the social sciences, or a related subject. You will be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, and an excellent understanding of clinical research and the challenges of evaluating treatment benefits from a patient perspective. You will have strategic insight on the importance of PROs in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. You will enjoy working in a team and will have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. The primary focus will be the US market. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director – Global.
LOCATION:US Office (Global Headquarters), Boston, Massachusetts. (Although ideally based in Boston a remote location could be discussed)
